Battlefield Varsity Wrestling Team wins first ever Cedar Run District Team Title!

The Battlefield Varsity Wrestling team won it’s first ever Cedar Run District team title this season! Entire team went on to the Regionals and had 3 wrestlers go to States!! Matt Asper, Justus Weaver and Alex Thomas. Congratulations to all of them and to Coach Shaffer and Coach White.

BHS Boys JV Basketball wins Cedar Run District

The Boys JV Basketball Team are 2011-2012 champions of the Cedar Run District. The team recorded a 15 & 2 season record and also won the 2011-2012 Osbourne Park Basketball Tournament. Great job!

New Spirit Banners in the Den!

The Battlefield Athletics Boosters Club is pleased to provide the new spirit banners above the bleachers in the High School Gym. Come out and support our Winter sports teams – and consider joining and helping the Boosters Club in its mission to support Battlefield High School’s athletics programs.

The 2011 / 2012 Battlefield High School athletics season is well underway. Come-out, enjoy the games and support our student-athletes. The BHS Boosters Club supports our high school athletic programs, please consider helping the Boosters Club in its efforts to support our athletics programs.

Help with the Concessions Stand Needed!

We need volunteers to help with cleaning and stocking the outside concessions stand. This is a great way for students to acquire some community service hours and help out Battlefield’s athletics programs. If interested, please contact Susan Coxson at BHSConcessionsscoxson@gmail.com

Ways & Means Committee Members Needed

Julie Schifflin is our newly appointed Ways & Means Committee Chairperson. The Ways and Means Committee is charged with providing fundraising programs and activities that demonstrate a positive school spirit. Julie will be leading the committee to identify ways to generate and recognize a positive image of Battlefield High School and its Athletic Program within our community. She is looking for volunteers to help:

  1. Define ways and means of fund raising.
  2. Attend Haymarket / Gainesville Business Association meetings and communicate with sponsors and area businesses.
  3. Work with Boosters Club major events to guide fund raising efforts.
  4. Recommend and develop new fund raising events.
  5. Recommend fundraising events
  6. Coordinate individual team fund raising events to help avoid conflicts.

BHS Shamrock Shootout Basketball Tournament

What a Great Time!

Our thanks to all the teams, sponsors, and volunteers that helped make our 1st BHS Shamrock Shootout Basketball Tournament a tremendous success. We plan on holding an even bigger and better tournament next March; we hope to see you there!

The BHS ABC has adopted a new set of membership benefits that will create strong opportunities for increased growth and support.

  • You can join as an individual, family or business.
  • Members may designate half of their membership fee to the team of their choice.
  • In July 2009, the BHS ABC was classified as a public charity under 501(c)(3) . As a result, contributions to the BHS ABC are deductible under Section 170 of the code.
