With much excitement and anticipation, the Battlefield High School Athletic Booster Club (BHS ABC) is pleased to welcome you to the 2011 - 2012 school year. We believe that Battlefield athletics will take another step toward excellence due to the strong support of the members of the BHS ABC, and the strength of the student-athletes, parents, coaches, school administration, and community partners.

Announcing the 2012 BHS Golf Tournament
Join us for the Battlefield High School Athletics Boosters Club 2012 Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, April 9th at Dominion Valley Country Club. The event inlcudes lunch, drinks, door prizes and awards for winners of specific competitions A full range of sponsorship opportunities are available – representatives from the Boosters Club will be canvassing the community for sponsors, donations and participants. The cost per participant is $150 or $550 for a foursome. All proceeds benefit the Battlefield High School Athletics Program. Come out for a fun day of golf and support Battlefield athletics!

Get ready for Shamrock Shootout 2012 !
The Battlefield Athletic Boosters Club is happy to announce that the Shamrock Shootout 3 vs 3 basketball tournament is on for 2012. Building on the tremendous fun and success of last year’s tournament, we are hosting this tournament on Saturday March 17, 2012 for girls and boy teams grades 4 thru 8. We are expecting a great turn-out for this year’s tournament, so get your registration form in early. Visit our tournament page for more details.

BHS Boys Lacrosse MULCH MADNESS
The Battlefield Boys Lacrosse program’s annual mulch sale has begun
The Boy’s Lacrosse team is selling bagged double shredded hardwood mulch in in brown (3 cu ft) and black (2 cu ft) colors. The $4.50 price per bag is competive with local merchants AND includes FREE delivery on March 24. Please consider purchasing your spring time mulch from the boy lacrosse team – this is the sole fund raiser for team. See our order form or contact Kathy Hamma for more information.

Help with the Concessions Stand Needed!
We need volunteers to help with cleaning and stocking the outside concessions stand. This is a great way for students to acquire some community service hours and help out Battlefield’s athletics programs. If interested, please contact Susan Coxson at BHSConcessionsscoxson@gmail.com

Ways & Means Committee Members Needed
Julie Schifflin is our newly appointed Ways & Means Committee Chairperson. The Ways and Means Committee is charged with providing fundraising programs and activities that demonstrate a positive school spirit. Julie will be leading the committee to identify ways to generate and recognize a positive image of Battlefield High School and its Athletic Program within our community. She is looking for volunteers to help:
- Define ways and means of fund raising.
- Attend Haymarket / Gainesville Business Association meetings and communicate with sponsors and area businesses.
- Work with Boosters Club major events to guide fund raising efforts.
- Recommend and develop new fund raising events.
- Recommend fundraising events
- Coordinate individual team fund raising events to help avoid conflicts.
